SINGAPORE, Oct 11, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq:PALM) and MobileOne (M1) today announced the Palm(R) Treo(TM) 500v smartphone on the MobileOne network in Singapore. The new smartphone combines multiple forms of communication and multimedia capabilities with high-speed 3G/UMTS mobile Internet capabilities.(1) The Treo 500v, with the new and exclusive Vodafone user interface on Windows Mobile(R) 6 Standard edition -- a first in Asia -- delivers unparalleled usability and ease of navigation to customers who want to keep on top of their work and social lives while on the go.

The Treo 500v smartphone has a full keyboard, large screen, audio- and video-streaming capabilities, comprehensive multimessaging functionality (Instant Messaging, SMS and email), phone and personal-information-management software in a new design.(1)

With the Treo 500v smartphone, customers also can manage documents using mobile versions of familiar Microsoft(R) applications, such as Outlook(R), Word, Excel(R) and PowerPoint(R).
